By accessing and using the services of Highland Pet Hospital (HPH) and the Animal Emergency Clinic (AEC), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use our services.
These terms apply to all visitors, clients, and others who access or use our veterinary services, whether provided at our facility, through our website, or via telephone consultation.
Highland Pet Hospital (HPH) provides wellness veterinary care including, but not limited to:
Animal Emergency Clinic (AEC) provides 24/7 emergency veterinary care for urgent and critical cases.
All services are provided by licensed veterinarians and trained veterinary professionals. The diagnosis and treatment recommendations provided are based on the professional judgment of our veterinary staff and the information available at the time of examination.
Scheduling: Appointments for Highland Pet Hospital wellness services should be scheduled in advance. Emergency services at the Animal Emergency Clinic are available 24/7 on a walk-in basis.
Cancellations: We request at least 24 hours notice for appointment cancellations. This allows us to offer the time slot to other clients who need care for their pets.
Late Arrivals: Please arrive on time for your scheduled appointment. If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, we may need to reschedule your appointment to ensure all clients receive adequate care.
No-Shows: Repeated no-shows without prior cancellation may result in requiring advance payment for future appointments.
Payment is due at the time services are rendered unless prior arrangements have been made. We accept cash, credit cards, debit cards, and care credit financing options.
Estimates: Treatment estimates are provided based on anticipated procedures and services. Final costs may vary depending on the actual treatment required and any complications or additional services needed.
Emergency Services: A deposit may be required before beginning treatment at the Animal Emergency Clinic, particularly for extensive or costly procedures.
Outstanding Balances: Accounts with outstanding balances for more than 30 days may be subject to collection proceedings. You are responsible for all collection costs, including reasonable attorney fees.
While we strive to provide the highest quality veterinary care, veterinary medicine is not an exact science. We cannot guarantee specific results or outcomes from any treatment, procedure, or diagnostic service.
By using our services, you acknowledge that:
Highland Pet Hospital and Animal Emergency Clinic shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of our services.
In no event shall our liability exceed the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any legal action or proceeding arising under these terms shall be brought exclusively in the courts located in McLean County, Illinois, and you hereby consent to personal jurisdiction and venue therein.
We reserve the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website or notification to clients.
Your continued use of our services following any changes indicates your acceptance of the new terms. We encourage you to review these terms periodically.
Material changes to these terms will be communicated to active clients via email or posted notice at our facility.
