Dr. Laura Li, DVM

Dr. Laura Li joined the Highland Pet Hospital Team in 2016. She received her undergraduate degree in Biology from Augustana College, and her veterinary medicine degree from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2015. She met her husband, Dr. Joshua Li, during their first year of veterinary school. They were married one week after graduation from vet school.

Dr. Laura was fortunate enough to grow up with a variety of animals including sheep, rabbits, cats, and border collies. She loves pets of all shapes and sizes, and enjoys witnessing the special companionship between people and their animals. Her primary interest is in companion animal medicine and community outreach and education.

Dr. Laura and Dr. Josh have three sons, one elderly Papillon named Jovi, and one naughty orange cat named Huckle. There is never a quiet moment in the Li household. The Li family enjoys biking, geocaching, monster trucks, playing outside, and mud. Dr. Laura likes gardening, and though her yard is unlikely to be featured on any blogs, the flowers bring her great joy and attract bees and butterflies.

Dr. Laura remains actively involved with Christian Veterinary Missions, and believes her assignment is to be part of bringing Healing, Health, and Hope to Highland Pet Hospital, and to the Bloomington-Normal community.
