When to Come In

Seek emergency care immediately if your pet shows any of these signs:

  • Difficulty breathing or choking
  • Severe bleeding that won't stop
  • Collapse or inability to stand
  • Seizures
  • Ingestion of toxins or foreign objects
  • Severe vomiting or bloody diarrhea
  • Inability to urinate (especially male cats)
  • Signs of extreme pain
  • Trauma (hit by car, animal attack)
  • Distended, hard abdomen
  • Eye injuries
  • Heatstroke (excessive panting, bright red gums, collapse)

  1. Stay calm - your pet senses your stress

  3. Transport safely - use a carrier or secure your pet
  4. Drive carefully - getting there safely matters
  5. Bring information - any toxins ingested, medications taken

  • Friday: 6:00 PM through Monday 8:00 AM
  • Holidays: 24 hours
