Is This An Emergency?

Life-threatening conditions requiring urgent care:

• •Difficulty breathing, choking, blue gums
• •Trauma (hit by car, fall, fight)
• •Seizures or collapse
• •Bloated or distended abdomen
• •Unable to urinate (especially male cats)
• •Uncontrolled bleeding
• •Paralysis or sudden inability to walk
• •Known toxin ingestion (chocolate, xylitol, medications, antifreeze, rat poison)
• •Severe pain (crying, shaking, hiding)
• •Loss of consciousness
• •Difficulty giving birth (more than 2 hours between puppies/kittens)
• •Heatstroke (excessive panting, bright red gums, drooling, collapse)
