Fecal parasite testing.
Annual fecal testing is recommended to monitor your pet’s health for intestinal parasites. Intestinal parasites are commonly found in puppies and kittens and can cause gastrointestinal issues, such as diarrhea, vomiting, and weight loss.
Genetic testing as indicated by breed (Border Collies, Collies, Australian Shepherds, Shelties, Long-Haired Whippets, English Shepherd, German Shepherd, Old English Sheepdog, Rhodesian Ridgeback, Doberman Pinscher, Boxers, Newfoundland, Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier, and Corgis).
Certain breeds are predisposed to certain diseases, and identifying your pet’s specific breed type can give indicators for breed-specific diseases. Genetic marker testing is available for dogs to screen for genetic health conditions and health risks.
